Project ReMAKE

Project ReMake is a simple entrepreneurship training programme for formerly incarcerated people. The 12 week programme teaches basic business skills, helping them to build, launch and sustain self-employed businesses. The Company’s grant was used to support the Project ReMake Enterprise Education Course, which provides structured business and leadership training to prison leavers.  The funding contributed to the co-ordination and management of the course, development of course materials, mentorship support and the final pitch event. The project delivered:

  • 2 cohorts, one with Queen Mary University London and the University of the West of England.
  • Delivered a twelve-week business and leadership course.
  • Provided Mentor support from business and academic sectors.
  • Supported participants in developing business plans and personal career strategies.
  • Facilitated a final pitch event where participants presented their ideas to a panel
  • Provided support to all graduates with their onward journey, be that employment of self-employment.
