OutFits

OutFits is a charity which works directly with prisons and approved premises to help the transition of released prisoners back into civilian life by sourcing everyday clothing from completed film and television productions. All donated clothing is delivered directly from productions to prisons. We do not hold stock so we are therefore unable to handle personal requests.

The Company made a grant to to cover collection of clothing from productions to prisons and towards salary of administration assistant.

I cannot thank OutFits enough for the kind donations that we have received over the last year to our women’s prison here in Surrey. Most prisoners body weight changes whilst in prison and if they have no family or friends that can assist in sending them clothing, they will only have prison issue clothing whilst here. The donations have been given to prisoners prior to release to help them fit back into the community. If a prisoner, due for release, does not have much clothing they are given the opportunity to search the clothing rails of donated items and choose things they would like to wear and that fit. Clothing donations from OutFits are extremely useful for us. We have people being released every week that have no clothing other than prison issue to go out in, and this spare clothing stock helps enormously.
