Future Sound is a music education program run by the Abram Wilson Foundation. It supports 11-18 year olds through 8 week programmes delivered in schools. These take the form of mentorships led by emerging professional musicians targeting children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those under represented in the music industry.
Company funding supported them to work in 4 schools across the country, engaging 30 pupils per school through music education workshops, and deliver one live performance assembly per school led by workshop leaders. These are being delivered between now and July 2024. As a result of this work, they have established a further 9 partnerships with Co-op Academies Trust schools for delivery in the 2024/25 autumn and spring terms:
